The Flasher Gremlin appears in both films. The first one invaded Kingston Falls, and the second one spawned at Clamp Center. The Kingston Falls Flasher seemed to have an interest in Kate Beringer, though it may have been likely he exposed himself to other girls. As Gremlins do not engage in sexual reproduction, but asexually by multiplication when in contact with water, the Flasher lacked genitalia. As such, it seemed he lacked the ability to shock others, instead putting on a show for fun.
Appearance[]
Flasher Gremlin wears a trenchcoat and a pair of sunglasses, taking every opportunity to flash themselves to whoever.
History[]
Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai[]
The original incarnation of the Flasher spawned during the 1920 Gremlin riot in Shanghai. He came up to Riley Greene while he was strolling through the destruction, where he revealed his body to scare Greene. Simply unfazed, Greene kicked the Flasher to the curb. It is unknown what happens to him afterward, but it is possible he was either destroyed by the sunlight alongside other gremlins or was turned back into a mogwai.
Gremlins[]
The 1984 incarnation of the Flasher Gremlin appears behind the counter in Dorry's Tavern, was seen at Dorry's Tavern when Stripe and his army were partying raucously. Kate was being made to wait on Gremlins at the bar when she looked away and saw the Flasher wearing sunglasses and a trenchcoat, along with dangling a cigarette in his mouth. Smiling, he opened his trenchcoat to reveal his body and scares Kate who is forced to serve the gremlins that are running rampant inside the bar.
He was seen again sitting by the pool table laughing at the Gremlin on it. He was seen again at the movie theater where he laughs hysterically at the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and sings along. He is then seen as one of the gremlins chasing Billy, Kate and Gizmo as revenge for interrupting their movie going experience and as the theater explodes, he dies along with the rest of the gremlins.
Gremlins 2: The New Batch[]
In the second film, a similar gremlin (probably the reincarnation of the first one) appears in front of Kate, but this time she gets angry and kicks the gremlin away like she had done before, sending him flying and shouting. In the end, he was destroyed by the Electric Gremlin along with all the remaining gremlins.
