This unnamed River spirit is a minor antagonist in the episode "Never Squeeze a Fox".
Appearance[]
The spirit disguised as a cart.
In his true form the River Spirit looks like a gigantic, multicolored fish with sharp teeth and whiskers.
He can however disguise himself as a fishcart to lure victims into his mouth.
Personality[]
Other than that the spirit wants to eat Gizmo, not much is revealed about his personality.
History[]
The spirit first appears in his cart form when Sam Wing is desperately trying to get Gizmo to the Bagua room while Elle distracts a group of Fox spirits. Since all spirits in the Spirit World want to eat Gizmo and they can easily locate him due to his distinct odor, Gizmo comes with the plan to mask his scent by hiding among the fish in the fish cart. The plan works and Sam and Gizmo reach the Bagua room without further trouble. It is only after they get there that they learn the cart is in fact the river spirit in disguise. The spirit assumes his true form and eats Gizmo. Sam quickly throws a bottle with an unknown content into the spirits mouth to make him spit out Gizmo, after which Elle knocks the spirit off the bridge they were on and into the river. Nuwa immediately scolds Elle for this and points out that, as a river spirit, this action will only make the spirit stronger since the river is the source of it's powers. Sure enough, moments later the spirit leaps out of the river again, now fully charged up, and makes another attempt to eat Gizmo. Nuwa interferes in time however and uses her weapon to chop the river spirit in half, killing the creature.
